Everyone has one of four skin types: normal, dry, oily, and combination. Skin conditions may change due to a variety of internal and external factors. Internal factors such as hormones, free radicals in the air, stress, diet, genetics, pregnancy, and medical conditions. External factors may include weather, pollution, and harsh products. Harsh products contain many toxic chemicals, which may cause long-term damage such as eczema and psoriasis.
We would like to remind you, that skin changes throughout the seasons. Seasonal skin allergies are triggered by weather and climate conditions depending on the individual. As it varies from person to person, the seasonal flare-ups can be caused by pollen during hot, dry summer days and by mold spores in the cold, rainy season. It’s crucial to have a skincare routine that works according to each individual’s skin type; what works for others may not work for you. It takes 30-90 days for our skin cells to regenerate, which is why patience is important when doing your skincare.
Additionally, the Fitzpatrick scale of the skin helps determine what skincare products are right for your skin. According to this scale, there are six classifications. Fitzpatrick type 1, type 2, type 3, type 4, type 5, and type 6.
